This time around, UPCF gave not one, two, or three, but FOUR grants to deserving local nonprofit organizations! Whether they are helping to fight hunger or serving as a support system for trafficking survivors, these nonprofits were thrilled to become part of the UPCF family.
Food for Families

With the assistance of their hardworking volunteers, Food for Families is helping to combat hunger in their three-county service territory. Thanks to the grant the Foundation is providing, Food for Families will be able to distribute weekend meals for students in Union, Anson, and parts of Mecklenburg County in their Backpack program.
Community Shelter of Union County

Committed to providing emergency shelter, food, and rehousing, the Community Shelter of Union County strives to improve the lives of those around them. The grant provided by UPCF will support the Community Shelter’s Home Again program, which helps people transition from homelessness to housing.
Union County Crisis Assistance Ministry

Offering emergency support to families facing eviction is how Union County Crisis Assistance Ministry best serves its community. Whether it’s supporting families financially, through case management, or access to essential resources, this nonprofit is crucial to preventing homelessness and ensuring stability for local families. The Foundation's grant will provide direct assistance with emergency payments to landlords and utility providers.
Fields of Hope

Dedicated to providing hope, healing, and empowerment for survivors of trafficking, Fields of Hope dramatically impacts their community. With the grant provided by the Foundation, Fields of Hope will have the ability to expand their Youth for Hope program, providing vital education on awareness and prevention of trafficking.
